HLVDD.dll not found
Question
I've installed my IGSS version 4.x without any problems. But when I start the IGSS software, I get a warning message:
This application has failed to start because HLVDD.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
I've tried re-installing, but this doesn't help. I am running Windows XP with SP2. How do I solve this problem?
Answer
The problem is the result of an obsolete install package for the Hard Lock driver when installing in Windows XP SP2.
To fix the problem, download the zip file below called hldinst.zip and then
- Unzip the two files haspds_windows.dll and hldinst.exe to the same folder.
- Go into a DOS prompt and into the folder where the two files are located.
- Now, run hldinst.exe with the following arguments: -install -noDPA -noports (REMEMBER to put a space between each parameter.)
This should result in your now being able to start the IGSS application normally.
