Alarms to Stationary Phones

How do I dial out an alarm to a stationary telephone?

Answer

The setup proceedure to have WinPager dial alarms out to a stationary telephone are exactly the same as for fax. The WPMapi service is used and instead of a fax number, the stationary telephone's number is keyed in. See FAQ number 34 in this database for the full installation instructions.

Upon lifting the receiver to answer the alarm call, the operator will hear the characteristic modem initiatialization tones.
