Lasat modem can't connect to MJK Data Transmitter

Question

When using a Lasat voice modem for dial-up to MJK pump stations (Data Transmitter 795), the modems fail to negotiate the communication protocol.

Answer

The Lasat modems should be forced into a protocol negotiation: From the IGSS32 Driver Setup program, choose to configure the modem by pressing the Configure... button on the Connection Type tab. On the first tab, General, set the maximum speed to 9600 baud and make sure that Only connect at this speed is not checked.

Note: This solution has been tested with the following modems: - Lasat Safire 336 Voice - Lasat Safire 560 Voice
