To ensure optimal mobility, both at the plant and outside, IGSS V5 will provide full access to operate the plant by a PDA. Object values, I/O points, alarm lists and historical values will be fully accessible and operable in the PDA. You will be able to stand right next to the pump, start it, stop it or test it, without having to call the control room – and at the same time be advised of anything else going on in your plant.
As the browser-based thin client is developed using the latest .NET technology from Microsoft, the PDA will also be able to access and operate the plant over the Internet.
