More OPC features supported in IGSS32 version 4.
OPC is gradually becoming a more popular choice when selecting a PLC communication interface and is increasingly being used for intra-plant communication between industrial applications at different levels in the plant hierarchy.
To support this growing need for intra-plant communication and integration between these industrial applications, version 4 now supports the OPC Data interface ver. 1 and 2 on the server side. This means that third party applications, e.g. maintenance, recipe and batch applications, will have a simple and standardized way of communicating with the IGSS32 system.
On the client side, IGSS32 Version 4 continues support for OPC Data interface ver. 1 and 2, and in the future will also include support for the Alarm/Event interface.
