Version 4 will allow the user to embed trends and graphs as integrated objects on a process diagram. A single diagram can contain an unlimited number of graphs, each having up to 10 configurable pens. A new and improved user interface allows the user to analyse different sets of online and historical data in a simple and straightforward manner.
Trending is based on the IGSS32 ODBC interface. This means that the unique client/server features of the IGSS32 system are fully integrated when monitoring the plant, thus making it possible to render historical graphs as a background task while the operator continues his work with other parts of the system.
Trends do, of course, implement zooming at multiple levels, scrolling, gridlines and markers for easy analysis of data. XY-plots are also supported.
