What it shows
On this tab, you can enable or disable the relevant external types (PLC data types) for numerical values and string values.
In most cases, the default choices will be relevant, but you can change them, if necessary.
The changes made on this tab are global to the selected driver. If the driver is part of another configuration, the changes will also apply here.
External types
The external type is a central concept in IGSS. When you specify the external type as part of the PLC address, IGSS knows how to interpret the incoming value from the PLC, so that a meaningful value is shown during supervision.

The external type is selected as part of the PLC address on the Edit Mapping tab in the Definition program as shown below. The drop-down list contains the external types which are enabled in System Configuration (see figure below).
