Change the report contents online

The operator reports are predefined by the system designer in the Definition program. The contents of a report is contained in a report format.

The operator can change a report format or even create a new one online.

 

Example

In the Demo configuration there's a report format called Periodical Report. In the Temperature section of that report, only "t1" has been included. The operator wants to add the other temperature meters, "t2" through "t5".

 

  1. In the Tools menu, select Report Formats.
  2. Click the + sign beside the report format Periodical Report.
  3. Click the Temperature section of the report. The object "t1" now appears on the right side.

  1. Under Chosen objects, click the Browse button.
  2. In the Object Browser, hold down the CTRL key and select "t2", "t3", "t4" and "t5".

  1. Place the cursor on one of the selected objects and drag the objects onto the Report Formats dialog box.
  2. Drop the objects in the list where "t1" is the only object right now.
  3. Release the mouse button. All the objects are now included in the Temperature section.

  1. Click the OK button.

  1. In the File menu, select Stop Configuration. The data collection is stopped.
  2. In the File menu, select Start Configuration.

Result: The upload/download message appears.

  1. Select No to upload the changed report format to the IGSS Server. The server will subsequently distribute the change to the other operator stations.
