The server connection object

If you, in the Definition module, define an object with the operator station name, IGSS will use this object to monitor the server connection between the configuration server, the operator and the distributed driver (if any). This object must be based on a digital template. When the object has been created -

The message is sent to both the State atom and the Alarm-in atoms, and these must also be set to local.

The following four states should be defined (only 2 states are necessary, if no distributed driver is used):

  1. Normal
  2. Operator disconnected
  3. Distributed driver disconnected
  4. PC isolated - Both Operator and distributed driver disconnected

If an operator station goes into backup mode, it will indicate that the state of other operator stations is unknown by setting bit 2 high.

If this digital object is used in a configuration, it overrides the possibility of using the "dead man's button" object.
