Digital to diagram or graph

Purpose

This combination allows you to open one or more diagram or graph windows when a digital object changes state from its first state name, initially named <0 to one of its other states.

How it works

The properties dialog box for the digital object is opened and the appropriate diagram or graph name is selected in the Connect To drop-down list on the Data Management Definitions tab.

Now, when the state of the digital object changes from <0 to one of its other states, the specified diagram or graph window is opened.

To connect diagram number two, three, etc. to the digital object, just select the appropriate diagram or graph name in the Connect To drop-down list. Only the last name will be shown, but all previous selections will used as well.

Example

Assume that we have a pump, P1, on one diagram. When its state changes to On, then we want the operator to verify on the Main diagram that the flow in the affected pipe reaches a specific value.

In that case, we will open the properties dialog box of P1, click the Data Management Definitions tab and select the Main diagram in the Connect To drop-down list.
