To edit graph parameters

  1. Open the graph whose parameters you want to edit.
  2. Right-click the graph and select Edit Parameters in the pop-up menu. The Define Graph Parameters dialog box appears.
  3. Check Autostart to automatically start drawing the graph when the operator opens the graph. Typically, the operator will want to define the graph period before opening the graph. In that case, leave the box unchecked.
  4. In the Start Offset and Window period boxes, specify how far back you want the graph to go and the period you want to show in one “window”.
  5. In the Source group, select either log files (LOG) or base class files (BCL). Typically, log files are used for current data and base class files for historical data.
  6. In the Start Precision and Time Resolution groups, select the appropriate start precision and time resolution.
  7. In the X-divisions box, type the number of tick marks you want on the X-axis (time scale).
  8. Check Show Details to show object description, value ranges, etc. in the graph window. Otherwise, only the object name is shown.
  9. In the Object Name and Atom columns, select the IGSS objects and atoms which you want to include.
  10. In the Reduction column, select the appropriate data reduction (only available when BCL is defined as the data source).
  11. In the Y-max and Y-min boxes, type the max. and min. values of the Y-axes (value/state). By default, the ranges defined for the objects are used.
  12. In the Y-div box, type the number of tick marks you want on the axes.
  13. In the Y-axis column, check the box if you want the axis for this object to be shown.
  14. In the Wide and Smooth columns, check Wide if you want to use a thicker graph line for this object and check Smooth if you want to show average values instead of the latest value.
  15. In the Pattern and Color drop-down lists, select the appropriate pattern and color for the axis and graph line for this object.
  16. In the Background Colors drop-down lists, select the background colors for the different elements of the graph.
  17. Click OK. The graph window appears.
  18. Position and resize the window, as required.
