The purpose of defining events

IGSS features an Event List which is shown together with the Alarm List. By looking at this list, the operator will quickly get an overview of the latest system and object events. The contents of the list is user-defined. It can thus be customized to the exact needs of the plant personnel.

Here are some examples of the event types that can be shown in the list

Data collection started / stopped
Writing of data files started / stopped
User login / logout
Commands sent to process components (start/stop motor, open/close valve)
Change of alarm limits and setpoints
