To save color and symbol selections as part of a template

1. Define a new digital object based on a template.

How?

1. Click the Symbol Definition tab and change the color and symbol for each state, as required.
2. Check the Copy symbols to template option to save the selections as part of the digital template.

Tip

By using the color and symbol selections from the template you save descriptors as only one descriptorA descriptor is the graphical display of an object. IGSS includes many types of descriptors including: - Built-in standard symbols - Animated symbols (Symbol Factory library) - Graphics and animation - Drawing symbols - Windows controls - ActiveX controls An IGSS object can be represented with different descriptors on different diagrams. is used for each object using the template properties - regardless of the number of different states. Note, though, that using descriptor templates requires that the symbols representing the individual states are positioned on top of each other.
