Digital templates
If the properties of a digital template are altered when the template
has already been used for one or more objects, the changes will affect
these objects.
The following rules apply:
- Bit pattern,
logic, choice of single bits as well as state and command names (that
is, everything on the Bit Map I/O
and Alarm In/Ack Bit tabs) change
the previously defined objects. The state and command names can be changed
without it being necessary to redefine the previously entered objects.
- Scan and
base intervals, etc. (everything on the Data
Management Definitions tab) do not affect already defined objects.
- Changes
in the PLC addressing do not affect previously defined objects.
- Alarm numbers
for the individual objects, which are not modified in relation to what
the template indicates, are changed. Already modified alarm numbers are
not changed when the numbers in the templates are.
Analog, table and counter templates
The properties of a table, counter or analog template may be changed
when the template is used to create the individual objects. Previously
defined objects are NOT affected by later
changes to the templates.
