To insert ActiveX controls
- Select Objects ® Standard
Descriptors ® ActiveX Control ® Show All . The Insert
ActiveX Controls (OCX) dialog box appears.
Tip: You
can also right-click and use the New
item in the pop-up menu to insert the ActiveX control at the cursor position.
- Select the
name of the ActiveX control you want to insert and click OK.
The default presentation of the control appears.
- Position
and resize the ActiveX control on the diagram.
- Right-click
the control and select Descriptor Properties.
A list of all the properties that you can change from IGSS appears.
- Find the
properties you want to bind to IGSS object values and bind them using
the two Bind commands in the pop-up
menu.

- Change the
static properties, as required.
How?
- Click OK to close the Descriptor
Properties dialog box.
Note: The
ActiveX control will now behave according to your selections. Note that
if you have bound an ActiveX control event to an IGSS object value, then
you must install the configuration and test this function in IGSS Supervise.
Tips
- To
get Help for each ActiveX control property, right-click its name and select
Property Help
or ActiveX Control Help Index
in the pop-up menu.
- To
change the static ActiveX control properties, right-click the control
and select Show ActiveX
Control Property Pages.
