To create an independent ellipse

If necessary, select View ® Drawing Toolbar.
Click $images\ico_drw_circ.gif$ in the Drawing toolbar and move the cursor to the position where you want to place the ellipse.
Click once and drag the cursor, until the ellipse has the desired proportions, then release the left mouse button.
Change the ellipse properties, as required.

Tips

You can use ellipses to simulate lamps in the process. Assuming that you a lamp that you want to be able to see whether it is on or off, you can connect an ellipse to the digital object and specify that you want to show a one color when it is On and another one when it is Off.
