SCENARIO 2: Embed an alarm list in a normal diagram
Before you perform the procedure, read
the scenario description.
Before you go through this procedure, you must open the Demo configuration
and an area called NewInThisVersion
must exist.
Open the
Plants area, double-click the
Wastewater Treatment button and
finally double-click the Pump Station
button.
- Press CTRL
+ A to select all objects on the diagram and press CTRL + C to copy.
- Go to the
NewInVersion5 area.
- Create a
diagram called PumpStation1 and
do the following:
- In the
Description field, type Pump
Station 1.
- Select
Description under Caption.
- Select
the Name to menu check box.
- Click
the Picture option and click Browse to find the graphic Pst.wmf
in the configuration root folder and click Open
to apply it.
- Click
OK to apply and close the dialog box.
- In the Edit menu, select Paste
Special.
- Select
the References option.
- Clear
the check boxes Automatically rename conflicting object names and Paste
report formats.
- Click
OK.
- In this scenario,
we need some space for the embedded alarm list, so we will overlay some
of the descriptors on the diagram. Therefore, select the two command fields
for the pumps and delete them.
- In the View menu, select Drawing
Toolbar and activate the alarm list icon -
.
- Place it
in the upper left corner of the diagram and click once to insert it. Resize
the embedded alarm list so that it takes up the entire width of the diagram.
- Right-click
inside the alarm list descriptor and choose Properties.
Notice the
Online sizeable check box, which
allows the operator to resize the embedded alarm list in the Supervise program.
- In the Filters area, click the Add
button and do the following:
- In the
Filter name box, type PST01.
- In the
Edit condition area, create the
condition Object name ® On Parent Diagram ® is true.
- Click
the Add button to apply the filter
and click OK.
- Select
the Default check box.
- Click
OK to close the dialog box.
- Install and
start the configuration.
- Go to the
NewInVersion5 area and go to the
PumpStation1 diagram. The diagram
should now look like this.
