Overview: Graphics, multimedia and Animated Symbol files

Use

You can use graphics, multimedia and Animated Symbol files in two ways:

as independent (static objects) on a diagram

as connected objects where the appearance of the graphics file or multimedia file is directly linked to the value or state of the connected IGSS object.

What happens if I connect?

Graphics, multimedia and Animated Symbol files can be connected to multiple IGSS object types.

When connected, you can do the following:

make a graphics file blink when the connected object is in alarm
play the multimedia file when the object is in alarm or when it enters a specific state (digital objects)

Supported formats

IGSS supports numerous graphics and multimedia file formats. New formats will be added continuously as soon as we have the necessary know-how. The following list is therefore only temporary.
