Overview: Standard descriptor properties

When you create a standard descriptor, a number of properties specific to that descriptor become available. The number of properties depend on whether the standard descriptor is connected to an IGSS object. When connected, a number of properties which are linked to the state or value of the IGSS object are available.

To edit the standard descriptor properties, double-click the object or right-click it and select Properties in the pop-up menu, then click the Attributes of <descriptor type> tab.

The properties are presented in a tree structure allowing you to expand or collapse the property groups, as required. Each property group contains a number of properties which can be edited by simply double-clicking the value. When the value is simply Yes or No, double-click it to alternate between the two.

All property groups with a name starting with Bindings … contain properties that are directly dependent on the state or value of the connected IGSS object. These properties are only available when the standard descriptor has been connected to an IGSS object.
