Use

You can use multimedia files in two ways.

as independent objects on a diagram.
Use this option if you want to animate some part of the process, but do not want to connect the animated file to any IGSS object.
as connected objects where the the multimedia file can be played dependent on the current value or state of the connected IGSS object.

Example

This example shows a multimedia file linked to a pump. The *.avi file is played when the pump state is On and if it enters the alarm state.

Multimedia file properties

To view and change the multimedia file properties, right-click it and select Properties in the popup menu, then click the Attributes of <file type> tab, for example, Attributes of AVI.
