Safe Commands - Example 2

What is performed in Example 2

In this example we will demonstrate the use of the two Safe Commands Conf. Password and Conf. 2 Users. To do this we will need to create an IGSS user and define his user rights.

The example has been divided into four steps, where each step is performed in a separate module (see workflow below).

Protect objects and user rights for Safe Commands

Applying the Conf. Password and Conf. 2 Users Safe Commands doesn't make any sense unless you are also using user administration. When one of these two Safe Commands are set for an IGSS object, this object must also set to be protected by the Protect object. This way the system will know which personnel that are allowed to send commands to the object and which that are not.

Example Workflow

Here is shown the workflow of setting up Safe Commands.
