Providing easy operator access to reports

Introduction

As a system designer, you decide how you want the operators to access the reporting programs. The access is provided at two levels as described below.

Provide access to the programs

The first thing to do is to provide access to the three reporting programs used by the operator. This is typically done by including a shortcut in the User Programs menu.

The User Programs menu in Supervise may look like this:

The operator can also open the Alarm Statistics Report by selecting File ® Alarm Statistics in the Alarm program.

Provide access to the report formats

The next step is to make sure that the appropriate report formats are available in the individual reporting programs. Select the appropriate report type in the Report Formats dialog box. You can also set a report format as the default in which case it is suggested automatically to the operator.
