Using the Object Browser's versatile
filtering capabilities, you can use it as a checklist while you're building
the configuration. Here are a few examples for inspiration:
Show
a list of objects sharing the same alarm text
Show
all objects which must be linked to the same node (PLC)
Show
all objects based on a certain template
Applying these filters will enable you to instantly check that everything
is in order. In the example below, we will check that all relevant objects
sharing alarm text no. 204: Engine failure.
The procedure
is based on the built-in Demo configuration.
On the File menu, select Object
Browser.
In the Tree node filter settings area, choose
Alarm no. as the topmost criteria.
Select 204: Engine failure. Two digital templates
and two digital objects will be listed. We know that the configuration
should contain three digital objects so we need to add an m3
object.
