The Property Table View function in the Definition module is accessed in the Diagram menu. It is a tool used for changing so-called descriptor properties on the diagram from which it is activated. It presents a hierarchical, tree view of descriptor categories for the diagram in its left window. In IGSS terminology, a descriptor is a graphical element in the mimic, which may or may not be connected to an IGSS object.
The advantage of using Property Table View is that several descriptors' properties can be changed simultaneously without having to navigate through these one-by-one. The actual changes are done in the right windowpane, which lists all descriptor properties in click sensitive columns, rows and cells. Left clicking on one of these enables editing of the content. Changes are effected when the Property Table View is exited.
The Filter function can be applied on all columns listed in the right windowpane. Double left clicking the grey area directly under the column name transforms the box to a white color on which it's then possible to key in a filter character string with the wildcard character *. Upon hitting the ENTER key, the filter condition is activated and only characters fulfilling the filter criteria will be displayed. When using the Filter function, the entire row changes color to a light red to indicate that the filtering function is active. Removing the filter resets the color of the row to grey, indicating that the filtering function is inactive.
