Exporting Property Table View content

The content of Property Table View can be exported to either a so-called .csv file or simply copied to the Windows clipboard and imported into another application, for instance MS Word, for documentation purposes. This information cannot, however, be re-imported into Property Table View.

We need to export some settings from the diagram in the IGSS Demo configuration called Power because we want to examine some of the parameters set up for the various objects on this diagram by viewing them in an ordered manner. Therefore, we want to export this information as a .csv file and then view it in Excel.

 

  1. Go to the diagram from which you need to collect parameter information, in this case the diagram called Power.
  2. Activate Property Table View from the Diagram menu or with Ctrl-H.
  3. In the tree view on the left under Objects select Atoms.
  4. In the table view to the right click on the empty cell above the cell named Filter to select the entire table.
  5. In the upper left hand corner select File à Export as CSV and the Save As dialog box appears and defaults to the report folder of the IGSS configuration.

  1. Give the .csv file a name and save it.
  2. Open Excel and select the .csv open option and the information is displayed in Excel.
