If you are
not in the Global area, select
Area ® Global.
Select Area ® Edit Properties.
Click the
Function Key Assignment tab.
Select the
desired function key in the Function
Keys drop-down list.
Select the
object you want the function key to operate on.
If the function
key operates on a digital, analog, table or counter object, do the following:
In the
Index list, select the atom
for which you want to change the value (only available for analog and
table objects).
In the
Command/Value list, select the
command (digital objects) or value you want to send to the object.
Repeat steps
4 - 6 for each function key you want to assign.
Click OK to save the new function key assignments.
Tip
To make the function key assignments readily available
to the operator, you can include them in the Supervise toolbar. This is done using the
Customize Supervise
command in the Tools
menu. Click See Also
for details.
Note
Up to 24 global function keys may be defined. During
supervision the function keys defined as 1 - 12 are activated with the
keys ctrl + F1
through F12, while the
keys defined as 13 - 24 are activated with ctrl
+ shift + F1 to
F12. Max. 15 of the 24
possible function keys may have values attached.
Up to 24 function keys may be defined for each diagram
in the configuration. Click See Also for details.
