To create a diagram
- Open the
area in which you want to create the diagram.
- Select Diagram ® Create
or press CTRL + SHIFT + D. The Diagram
Properties dialog box appears.
- Type a unique
and descriptive name and an optional description.
- Check the
boxes for the window elements (title bar, status bar, etc.) you want to
include on the diagram window.
- In the Caption group, choose what you want
to show in the title bar of the diagram window. Title
Bar must be enabled to use this option.
- Check the
Name to Menu box to include the
name in the Diagram menu.
- Check the
Keep Window box to disable automatic
closing of the diagram.

During
supervision, a user defined number of diagrams can be open simultaneously. By default, when
more diagrams than the specified number are opened, IGSSwill automatically close the first
one.
With the Keep Window option
checked, the diagram will not be closed automatically.
- In the Background group, include either a background
picture or a background color.
- Check the
Function Keys box to enable function
key assignment.
- Click the
Function Key Assignment tab and
assign the function keys.
- Click OK to save the diagram.
Consider carefully which diagrams to include in
the Diagram
menu, as you can include max. 40 diagrams per area. Of course, you are
not limited to defining 40 diagrams, the remaining ones will merely have
to be accessed via click-sensitive fields or buttons.
