What is an embedded diagram ?

Definition

An embedded diagram collects a number of logically related subprocesses into one descriptor. The descriptor is embedded on a standard IGSS diagram.

For each subprocess, a subdiagram is defined and a button appears for each of these. This results in a button bar from which the operator can choose the subprocess to view.

Use

Use the embedded diagram feature when you want to collect logically related process pictures on one main diagram. The operator thus enters a main diagram and gains access to all the subdiagrams defined. The operator simply clicks on the button corresponding to the relevant process picture.

Example

To illustrate the functionality, the help file includes a scenario of a production process. Click here to read the scenario description.
