Units Sets dialog box

What is a units set ?

A units set is a collection of units to be used when defining analog, table and counter objects. You can define several units sets and you determine yourself which units to include.

Creating and editing units sets

Select Edit ® Units Sets to open the dialog box below. You can now create, edit and delete the units sets for this configuration.

By default, v3 comes with a skeleton SI system without any units. You can create your own custom units sets to limit the choice of base units to exactly those relevant for the monitored plant. In the example, we’ve added the U.S. Customary and British Imperial systems.

How do I add units to the units set ?

Once you’ve defined your units set(s), you can start adding the base units. You can even convert a unit so that it has one value in one set and another in the other set. For example, °C in the SI system can be converted to °F in the U.S. Customary system.

What happens to a configuration converted from an older version ?

When you convert a version 8 or IGSS v2 configuration to v3, all the defined units are included in the default SI system.
