Create, rename and delete base units

For each units set you have defined, you can define any number of base units. You determine the names yourself.

• If you convert a version 8.x or IGSS v2 configuration, all units defined will be included in the SI units set.

Create a base unit

1. Select Edit ® Base Units.
2. Click New.
3. Type the name of the new base unit and select the relevant units set and click OK.
4. Click Close.

• The base unit is now created and can be chosen in the Units drop-down list when you define analog, table and counter objects.

Rename a base unit

1. Select Edit ® Base Units.
2. Select the base unit you want to rename.
3. Click Edit.
4. Type the new name and click OK.
5. Click Close.

Delete a base unit

1. Select Edit ® Base Units.
2. Select the base unit you want to remove.
3. Click Delete. A message appears informing you that all objects using this unit will be reset to use no unit.
4. Click Yes to remove the base unit.
5. Click Close.
