Convert units

Once you have at least two units sets, you can define unit conversions. This means that you can convert one unit in one set to a unit in another set. Click here to see an example of a unit conversion from °C to °F.

 

Create a unit conversion

  1. Select Edit ® Unit Conversions.
  2. Click New. The Unit Conversions dialog box appears.
  3. In the Convert from group, select the base unit from which you want to convert.
  4. In the Convert to group, type the name of the target unit and select the relevant units set.
  1. In the Using formula group, enter the conversion formula.
  2. In the Test calculator group, type a value you want to convert and click =. The conversion result appears.
  3. Click OK to save the conversion. The new unit conversion appears in a list of all defined conversions.

Edit a unit conversion

  1. Select Edit ® Unit Conversions.
  2. Select the unit conversion you need to edit and click Edit.
  3. Edit the properties, as required.
  4. Click OK to save the conversion.

Delete a unit conversion

  1. Select Edit ® Unit Conversions.
  2. Select the unit conversion you need to remove.
  3. Click Delete. A confirmation message appears.
  4. Click Yes.

Online unit conversion

The operator can choose which units set he wants to use during supervision. If a unit conversion is defined, it will be executed when the operator chooses a new units set.

 

  1. In Supervise, select View ® Units Sets and select the relevant units set.
