Include manual report objects in a report format
Manual report objects can be included in report formats which are to
be used for periodical reports. The manual report objects have no relevance
for the other report types.
- Select Edit ® Report
Formats. The Report Formats dialog box
appears.
- Find the
periodical report format in which you want to show the values for the
manual report object.
- Select the
report heading under which you want to show the object.
- Under Chosen objects, click the Manual
button. The Manual Report Objects
dialog box appears.
- Click the
Add button.
- Enter the
relevant properties for the manual report object. Click Show
picture to see an example.
- Click OK.
- The object
is now visible in the list of manual report objects. The properties for
the new object are saved in the Genhdm.mdb database allowing you to enter
hourly, daily and monthly values for the manual report object in the Manual Report Editor
program.
- Position
the two dialogs, Manual Report Objects
and Report Formats, so
that you can drag the new manual report object into the desired report
format.
- Select the
new manual report object and drag it onto the Report
Formats dialog. When the + sign
appears, drop the object.
- Close the
Manual Report Objects and Report Formats dialogs.
- If
you want to enter manual report values immediately for the new object,
you must generate the necessary data basis first by running our data reduction
engine, Genhdm.exe.
Find Genhdm.exe in the \Gss
subfolder of the installation path and double-click the file. When the
program window appears, choose Action
® Run Genhdm. The data reduction engine
will now generate the base class files (.bcl) and the hourly, daily and
monthly values in Genhdm.mdb. When the file generation is complete, you
can enter values for the new object in the Manual Report Editor program.
