To define a circular display (instrument display for analog objects)
In
the Objects menu, select Circular Display . The Object
Browser dialog box appears.
You
can also right-click at the desired position, select New
in the pop-up menu, then Circular Display .
Do
one of the following:
If
you are defining a new object, go to step 3.
If
you want to apply the circular display to an existing object, select its
name in the Name drop-down list
and go to step 12.
If
you want to base the object on a template, select its name in the Templates drop-down list.
Type
a unique name and an optional description.
Check
the Name and Value
boxes to show this information along with the circular display.
Click
OK . The analog object properties
dialog box appears.
On
the Analog tab, specify the measuring
range, alarm limits, set
point , etc.
How?
Click
the Alarm In/Ack tab to define
the bits used for alarm indication and alarm acknowledgement.
How?
Click
the Data Management Definitions tab
to define how you want to collect and log data.
How?
Click
the Display tab to define what
you want to show along with the circular display.
How?
Click
the Edit Mapping tab to define
the PLC addressing and alarm texts.
Click
the Attributes of Pie tab to define
the layout of the circular display.
How?
Click
OK to save the circular display.
The
circular display and object caption appear. If you used the right-click
menu, the display appears at the position where you clicked, otherwise
it appears in the upper left corner of the diagram.
Position
and resize the circular display, as required.
