As a new feature in IGSS, you can use different types of Windows controls to achieve the same effect as with the rectangular field.

You may want to use:

Command buttons to reference other diagrams. Command buttons are well-known to all computer users and thus very intuitive to operators.
Edit boxes to show, for example, string objects where you just want to show the text string.
