Press the
DEL key. The Delete Objects dialog box
appears informing you about the number of instances of this object in
the configuration.
If you want
to remove the object altogether, check the box beside its name.
Only the reference on this
diagram is deleted, if the box is not checked.
Tips
You
can also right-click the object and select Delete in the pop-up menu.
To
delete an object that has no descriptorA descriptor is the graphical display of an object. IGSS includes many types of descriptors including:
- Built-in standard symbols
- Animated symbols (Symbol Factory library)
- Graphics and animation
- Drawing symbols
- Windows controls
- ActiveX controls
An IGSS object can be represented with different descriptors on different diagrams., select Edit ® Open By Name. In the ensuing dialog box, select
the appropriate object type, then select the name of the object in the
Name drop-down
list. Make sure that you select the appropriate area. Click OK to open the object properties dialog box,
then click the Data
Management Definitions tab and click Delete.
