To delete a process component

1. Select the descriptor representing the object.
2. Press the DEL key. The Delete Objects dialog box appears informing you about the number of instances of this object in the configuration.
3. If you want to remove the object altogether, check the box beside its name.

• Only the reference is deleted, if the box is not checked.

4. Click OK to delete the object or the reference.

Tips

• You can also right-click the object and select Delete in the pop-up menu.
• To delete an object that has no descriptorA descriptor is the graphical display of an object. IGSS includes many types of descriptors including: - Built-in standard symbols - Animated symbols (Symbol Factory library) - Graphics and animation - Drawing symbols - Windows controls - ActiveX controls An IGSS object can be represented with different descriptors on different diagrams., select Edit ® Open By Name. Find the object using the Object Browser and check the Show properties box to open the properties dialog box, click the Data Management Definitions tab and the click Delete.
