To align objects using the grid

  1. Select Format ® Set Grid Size. The Set Grid Size dialog box appears.
  2. Specify the desired spacing in pixels between grid points in the Width and Height boxes.
  3. Click Default to return to the default setting.
  4. If required, specify a horizontal or vertical offset from the left and top borders of the diagram window in pixels and click OK.
  5. Make sure that Snap to Grid is enabled in the Format menu.
  6. Objects you move or position will now automatically snap to the grid.
  7. Select the object(s) you want to align with the grid, then move them to the desired position.
