Export/Import a Group

If you intend to use a Group in another configuration, you must first export it to a file and later import it into the target configuration.

 

Export a Group

  1. In the Group Manager dialog box, select the name of the Group you want to export in the drop-down list.
  2. Click the Export button. The Export Group dialog box appears.
  3. In the File name box, type a descriptive filename. The file will be saved as an “IGSS configuration group file” with the extension .cgf.

  1. Click the Save button.

 

Tip

Alternatively, you can export a Group by choosing File ® Export. If you’ve previously selected descriptors for inclusion in the Group to export, the Selection button can be used. Otherwise, you can export one of the existing Groups in the configuration.

 

Import a Group

  1. Open the configuration into which you want to import the Group.
  2. Select File ® Import. The Import Group dialog box appears.
  3. Find the .cgf file that you want to import, select it and click the Open button.
