In
the Objects menu, select, for
example, Motors, Valves in the
lower part of the menu. The Object Browser
dialog box appears.
You
can also right-click at the desired position, select New
in the pop-up menu, then the appropriate item in the submenu which is identical
to the Objects menu.
Type
a unique name and an optional description.
Check
the Name and Value
boxes to show this information along with the object symbol.
Click
OK. The properties dialog box for
the standard digital object appears.
On
the Change State tab, select the
state you want to be the initial one and, optionally, type an analog value
in the Free Value
box to connect that value to the digital object.
Click
the Data Management Definitions tab
to define how you want to collect and log data.
The
symbol and the object
caption appears. If you used the right-click menu, the symbol appears
at the position where you clicked, otherwise the symbol appears in the
upper left corner of the diagram.
