Configuration workflow
Introduction
This topic shows the recommended configuration sequence. The sequence
is, by no means, mandatory but provides a logical and chronological approach
to creating configurations.
- Some of the steps in the shown
configuration process are optional and some are only required the first
time you create a configuration.
Before you begin
Before you start building the configuration in the Definition program, we recommend that you
go through the following checklist:
- Is the
PLC program fully functional and does it support all your requirements?
- Have you
tested the communication between the PLC and IGSS?
- This is easily done from the
System Configuration
program.
- Are all
the required PLC addresses available?
- Have you
discussed and agreed on the design of the user interface for the operator?
- Design issues include a logical
division into areas and diagrams, access control, predefined graphs and
reports and the use of colors.
